How we handle personal information
This policy covers the Answer One website, enquiries, free website tools and direct client communications.
Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Answer One handles personal information through answerone.com.au, its enquiry forms, free website tools and direct client communications.
Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@answerone.com.au.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, website, service interest and anything you choose to include in your message. If you become a client, we may also hold the business and billing details needed to deliver and administer the agreed work.
Our website and service providers may process ordinary technical data, including IP address, browser details, request time and security logs. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through a website form.
Free AI visibility audit
The audit processes the public website address you submit and information published on that site so it can identify the business, market and public search presence. The audit itself does not ask for your name, email address or payment details.
Answer One does not save the submitted website or completed audit to its own application database. The public website information is sent to contracted search and AI infrastructure providers to produce the live result. Hosting and security logs may temporarily record limited technical data needed to deliver the tool, prevent abuse and diagnose faults.
How we use information
- Provide the website, audit and services you request.
- Respond to enquiries and prepare relevant proposals.
- Operate, protect and improve our website and services.
- Maintain business records and meet legal obligations.
- Send relevant follow-up where you have requested it or it is otherwise permitted by law.
Service providers, subprocessors and disclosure
We use contracted providers for website hosting, email delivery, security, search data and AI processing. Those providers act as subprocessors only where their service requires them to process information on our behalf.
We disclose only the information reasonably required for those providers to perform their services, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information.
Overseas processing
Some providers may process or store information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they or their infrastructure operate. The precise location can change as providers update their systems. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and limit the information sent to what the service requires.
Retention and security
We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, legitimate business records and applicable legal obligations. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction and complaints
To ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, opt out of direct communications or make a complaint, email hello@answerone.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
We will consider requests and investigate complaints within a reasonable period. If a privacy complaint remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
